From September 4 to 5 2018, the 7th China Air Finance Development (DFTP) Summit (CADS) will be held at Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel in Tianjin.
It has been 10 years since China's aircraft leasing business is initiated. During the past 9 years, China's aircraft leasing business has made progress in both quality and quantity. According to incomplete statistics, by the end of 2017, China's aircraft leasing enterprises own and run a total number of over 3300 airplanes, doing business with over 100 airlines in more than 60 countries and regions. And as a home to aircraft leasing, Dongjiang plays a significant role in the global air financial market.
No pains no gains. Where there is challenge there is opportunity. In 2018, with a complex and volatile trend of international economy and trade, China is undergoing financial reconstruction and deep adjustment. By de-leverage and strict supervision, China's financial industry is moving forward through transformation. However, air finance is going the opposite, showing stable and continuous development. With a stable cash flow and satisfactory return on investment, the aircraft leasing asset of good quality is favored in investment market. To deepen reforming and step up development, the State Council issued a "Plan on Further Deepening the Reform and Opening-up of China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone" in May this year, which provides 7 measures to develop leasing business so as to bring new opportunities for Tianjin as the home to aircraft leasing.
In the past year, with great support from state ministries and commissions, the government of Tianjin, and supervision departments at all levels, industry peers worked together to made new records by delivering 1200 aircrafts of all kinds and a total asset of over RMB 450 billion. New rules, policies and measures to construct aircraft asset trading platform are successively introduced, exempting customs office from collecting import-related value-added tax (VAT) of aircraft leasing, setting up pilots for foreign debt facilitation policy, innovating tax declaration ways, and cross-custom linked supervision for imported aircraft leasing. These have injected new impetus to China's aircraft leasing business.
Since its debut in 2012, the CADS has been keeping its pace with the development of China air finance industry, grasping new policies and trends on the industry, and responding to market's new requirements. Now it has become an important platform for industry insiders to obtain market information. The 2018 summit has gathered more than 1000 attendees from 340 air finance organs worldwide, including almost all domestic airlines, aircraft leasing enterprises at home and abroad, manufacturers, financing institutions, intermediary and consulting institutions, and professional media.
